INDIANAPOLIS - In the first installment of 2020-21 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Athletes of the Week, Tiffin's Nair Adi has received the nod for men's tennis.

With four Great Midwest teams competing, the graduate transfer captured top the singles flight title and helped deliver a doubles bracket victory at the Charger Invitational on Sunday.
 
Adi came out on top of the No. 1 singles matchups, which included Findlay's Soh Kuyama, Walsh's Jacob Riglewski, and Hillsdale's Brennan Cimpeanu.
 
Adi won in three sets against Cimpeanu in the first round, rebounding from a second-set setback for a 6-3, 3-6, 10-5 win.
 
After Riglewski beat Kuyama in straight sets, Adi had enough left in the tank for another three-set win. This time he had to dig in deep after dropping the first set, 4-6. He rallied for 7-5 and 10-8 decisions to clinch the match and title.
 
Slotted at No. 3 doubles with partner Hugo Chatras, the Dragons enjoyed a pair of wins against Walsh and Hillsdale. Adi and Chatras won 7-5 and 6-2, respectively.
 
Tiffin is slated for one more fall contest scheduled later this month against Lourdes on the 26th.
