Dragons Start Spring Break With Win Over Cornerstone

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - Tiffin men's tennis opened their Spring Break trip with a 6-1 victory over NAIA-member Cornerstone on Sunday afternoon.

The Dragons went 2-1 in doubles to earn the point, with Hugo Chatras/Gabriel de Oliveira winning at No. 2 by a close 7-5 score and Tom Blaquiere/Matthew Telford taking a 6-2 win at No. 3.

Tiffin dominated singles play, only dropping one match at the No. 3 slot. Nikita Parfenov, Michael Gurtner, Chatras, Oliveira, and Blaquiere all earned wins in straight sets.

With the win, TU evens its season record to 5-5. The Dragons next face Newberry tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m.
