In his first season swimming in the conference, Sumfleth became the Great Midwest overall and meet record holder in the 100 backstroke and recorded the second-best 200 freestyle mark since the sport's inception.

The Dragons competed in a five-team double dual in Michigan and Sumfleth led the way for a pair of team victories vs. Notre Dame (OH) and Olivet.

The senior from Germany led the way in the 200 yard medley relay for the Dragons, clocking in at 24.61, as TU won the event with a total time of 1:37.48.

Sumfleth then competed in the 50-yard backstroke where he won by over three seconds and recorded a time of 24.31. He then won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.14.

Sumfleth also competed in the 400-yard freestyle relay where yet again the Dragons were victorious. Sumfleth swam first for the Dragons and the team won by a total of seven seconds.

Sumfleth was sensational over the weekend and will look to continue that way as Tiffin takes on Oberlin College this coming Saturday.
