The rookie campaigne for LaPorte was very successful as he set records in the 500 free style, 1000 free style, and 1650 free style.
Personal:
Matthew is the son of David and Lisa LaPorte. He has three siblings and will be majoring in Marketing.
High School:
LaPorte graduated from Stevenson High School. While attending, he won the conference, city, and county championship. He was also an All-Ohio swimmer in the 500 free style.
