Dragons swimmers compete at Eastern Michigan

Tiffin University's swim team competed with four other teams at the Eastern Michigan Invitational.

The women stood 3rd of 5 teams after the first day, while the men were in 5th. For the women, the Dragons tied with Albion with 58 points. EMU led with 440 while Wayne State had 324.

Anastasiia Kvitchenko was the highest individual finisher for the women, placing 7th in the 200 butterfly in 2:14.21. Catie Gorton also came in 9th in the same race.

The 400 free relay team of Kvitchenko, Gorton, Wixie Lehman, and Izzy Tarchione came in 5th with a time of 4:05.88.

For the men, TU was 5th with 56 points, trailing Albion's 117. EMU led the way with 368 while Ball State had 247 and Wayne State 194.

Jan Suchan led TU with a 5th place finish in the 200 backstroke in 1:51.88, while Jordan Wright was 6th in the 1 meter dive with 213.20.
