John Oshakpemhe has been named D2CCA Third Team All American by vote of the nation's Sports Communicators.

Oshakpemhe becomes just the fourth Tiffin University men's soccer player to land NCAA All American honors, joining Rhys Cannella (2009), Ashton Campbell (2010, 2011), and Andre Landell (2014). He is the first defender to earn the honor.

Oshakpemhe was also a D2CCA Midwest Region First Team selection after a brilliant campaign at defender. He had previously been named G-MAC Defensive Player of the Year and a First Team pick. He led a defensive effort that accounted for 10 shutouts on the season while holding opponents to just 8 shots per game and 6.8 shots on goal per contest.

That dominance was seen most clearly over the final three weeks of the regular season as the Dragons won the G-MAC regular season championship on the back of a defense that won six of seven games in October, all via shutout.
