Men’s Soccer Battle Ohio Dominican in Regular Season Finale

The Tiffin University men's soccer team will host Ohio Dominican on Tuesday Nov. 2 for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff.  The Dragons' playoff hopes rest in this last game as they sit two points behind sixth-place Ashland for the last spot in the GMAC tournament. 

Before the start of the game, the Tiffin University men's soccer program will honor its 14-member senior class that include Noah Spencer, Cade Final, Sam Durbin, Frieder Wagner, Carlos Castrejon, Pero Mikulic, Mounir Boutarfa, Ignacio Mazarro, Matt Evison, David Rinderle, Aaron McCready, George McCarthy, Pace Thomas, and Joel Daly.

Dragon Details:

The Dragons went 0-0-1 last week against Ashland University. 

The Dragons' offense is led by Joel Daly who has scored seven goals (T-3rd in the GMAC), two assists, and has 57 shots with 27 on target (1st in the GMAC). Caleb Gibbons has three goals and two assists, and teammate Davide Frezzi registered two goal and four assists (T-10th in the GMAC) this season. 

In goal for the Dragons will be Declan Lehman who played all 16 games for a 5-7-4 record, recorded 51 saves with a .699 save percentage, and a 1.28 goals-against average. 

 

Scouting the Panthers:

Ohio Dominican went 1-1 with a win against Malone. 

Leading goal scorers for the Panthers are Shingai Nindi who has scored six goals and three assists, Khalif Hassan who recorded five goals and two assists, and River Albaugh who registered four goals and three assists so far this season. 

In goal for Ohio Dominican is Alvaro Benito who has started nine games, registered 1.02 goals-against average, 44 saves, and a .815 save percentage. 

The Dragons lead the all-time series against the Panthers 29-9-3, with their last meeting coming on Oct. 16, 2021 where two teams tied 1-1.
