Dragons Down Ten Men Come Away with 1-1 Draw

The Tiffin University men's soccer team tied Findlay at home in a 1-1 draw.

The Dragons record is now 1-4-2 overall and 0-2-2 in the conference, while the Oilers record is 2-4-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the conference.

The Dragons were the better team in the first half as they outshot the Oilers 5-2 with one shot on target. That shot was the goal by Caleb Gibbons that was assisted by Joel Daly to give TU a 1-0 lead heading into the second half.

The Oilers made some halftime adjustments that led to a goal in the 58th minute to tie the game at 1-1.

The teams were evenly matched until a second yellow card was given to Frieder Wagner, putting the Dragons down to 10 men with 15 minutes left in regulation. Tiffin held off the Findlay attack to force overtime.  

Despite being down 10 men, the Dragons were able to create some opportunities, having 3 shots in overtime with one on target, while the Oilers had three shots with two on target. The Dragons defense held strong and was able to hold the game at a 1-1 draw. 

Declan Lehman played all 110 minutes in goal and tallied three saves with one goal against.
