Dragons Face Off Against Cedarville, Findlay

The Tiffin University men's soccer team will face Cedarville on the road on Thursday, Sept. 23 for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff and then host conference rival Findlay on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 11:00 a.m.

Dragon Details:

The Dragons went 0-1-1 last week in conference play against Lake Erie and Ashland. 

The Dragons' offense is led by Mounir Boutarfa who scored two goals so far this season, all against Northwood. Joel Daly and Carlos Castrejon also found the back of the net, each scoring one goal. 

In goal for the Dragons will be Declan Lehman, who played all 485 minutes this season and recorded 17 saves with a .739 save percentage. 

 

Scouting the Yellow Jackets:

The Yellow Jackets went 0-1 last week with a loss to Ohio Dominican.

Leading goal scorers for Cedarville are Mauri Ochoa Vazquez and Andy Volz, both with two goals and one assist. 

In goal for the Yellow Jackets is Jared Zacharias, who has started all four games with a 3-1 record, registered a 1.08 GAA, 7 saves, and a .636 save percentage. 

The Dragons lead the all-time series against the Yellow Jackets 21-11-1, with their last meeting coming on April 30, 2021, where the Dragons won 3-2.

 

Scouting the Oilers:

The Oilers went 1-1 last week with a 5-1 win over Kentucky Wesleyan.    

Findlay's offense is led by Nick McCracken with five goals and three assists, and teammate Zach Lauron who has registered three goals. 

The Dragons lead the all-time series against the Oilers 32-7-3, with their last meeting coming on April 24, 2021, when the Dragons won 4-2.
