George McCarthy has been named GMAC Defensive Player of the Week.

Tiffin defeated Lake Erie and Findlay by identical 3-2 overtime scores last week to clinch the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament.

Junior midfielder George McCarthy led the Dragons' defense that allowed only five shots on goal against Lake Erie and four against Findlay.

The Tiffin defense has only allowed 12 goals all season, allowing an average of 1.5 goals per match while scoring an average of 2.75 goals per match.
