Leo Hasenstab has been named G-MAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Hasenstab netted a hat trick on Saturday in nationally-ranked Tiffin's 3-0 win over Illinois Springfield to get the Dragons their first win of the 2019 campaign.
Hasenstab, a graduate student from Germany, led the team with 6 shots on target and converted 3 of them for a 50 percent conversion rate as well as accounting for 6 points for the Dragons.
Hasenstab's first goal came within the first 4 minutes of the game while the other 2 goals came in the second half.
The Dragons outshot Illinois Springfield, 11–7, (7-3) for the game.
A Great Midwest All-Conference Team honorable mention selection in 2018, Hasenstab is already 2 goals away from tying his season total from 2018. He also led the Dragons in assists a year ago and will look to continue to provide opportunities for his teammates as the season continues.
The No. 18-ranked Dragons will travel to No. 19-ranked Saginaw Valley State on Friday, September 13, this week.
This is his second career conference player of the week award after helping TU win a league title in 2018.
