Men's Soccer Alum Adjei Called Up to USA 6 National Team

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Swerve organization has announced that former Tiffin men's soccer defender Emmanuel Adjei has been called up to the USA 6 National Team in advance of their matchup with the Brazilian National Team this weekend.

The game will be played at 2:00 p.m. on April 14 in South Dakota. Adjei will also be included in a player pool considered for the USA 6 World Cup taking place in Australia this October.

The USA 6 National Team is governed by The American Association of Soccer 567 (5,6 and 7 a side soccer) and is comprised of amateur soccer players playing an indoor, no walls format. The AAS567 is governed by and is an official member of World Mini Football Federation (WMF).

Adjei has been a member of the Swerve since 2015, following his graduation from Tiffin a year before. He also currently coaches at the Cincinnati United Soccer Club.

The Cincinnati Swerve was formed in 2015 as an amateur men's arena soccer team and is run by C925, a non-profit organization that also runs the WPSL outdoor women's team, the Cincinnati Sirens. The Cincinnati Swerve plays their games at GameTime Training Center in Fairfield, Ohio and currently has teams playing in both the MASL 2 and PASL soccer organizations.

As a Dragon, Adjei appeared in 69 games during the 2011-14 seasons, starting every contest from his sophomore to senior years. He was named All-GLIAC after both his sophomore and senior campaigns, as well as Daktronics All-Region after his senior season.
