Tiffin Takes First Place on Home Soil

At the local Mohawk Golf & Country Club, the Dragons took first place overall on Tuesday afternoon in this year's Kyle Ryman Memorial tournament.

Tiffin ended with an overall score of 850, six strokes ahead of both Malone and Kentucky Wesleyan who finished in a tie for second. The Dragons' "B" team also performed well, finishing with a score of 872 in fifth place. The B team ended two strokes ahead of Ashland and just one behind Hillsdale.

It was a tense ending to the tournament as Johan Widal was tied for the lead at -10, approaching the final hole. Widal came up just short with a 70 in round three and finished in a tie for second with a total score of 206.

Following closely behind was freshman Liam Harvey with a 71 in the final round to total 211 for the tournament, good for fourth place overall. Tied for fifth was Mitchell Brassard with a final score of 215. Also inside the top-10 was Tison Alexander with a 74 in the final round.

Matt Flynn matched his two-under-par from the first round to end with a 216, improving eight places on the final day. Freshman Winston Brown also performed well with a final score of 218 including a -3 in round two, placing him in a tie for 18th.

The Dragons will now prepare for the Midwest Regional, hosted by Missouri – St. Louis in St. Albans, Missouri in one week's time.
