Men’s Golf Completes Day One of UIndy Invitational

The Dragons traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana to take part in the UIndy Invitational for their second tournament of the fall on Monday.

Tiffin started off strong with a team score of 289 after the first round of play, good for fifth place. However, a 308 in round two saw the Dragons fall to a tie for 13th place at the end of day one. Tiffin currently sits just five strokes behind Davenport University in 10th place.

At the end of round one, Mitchell Brassard finished in sole possession of first place at six-under-par with a score of 66. He would score a 77 in round two and currently sits tied for 11th place overall. He was followed by Johan Widal (74-75; 149) and Justin Hand (76-74; 150), separated by one stroke in a tie for 46th and 51st places respectively.

Liam Harvey finished with a 73 in round one and an 82 in round two for a total of 155, placing him in a tie for 74th. He is followed by Braeden Casto (83-82; 165) in 86th place.

The third and final round of the tournament will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, September 26th.
