Dragons in 11th after two rounds at Purgatory

Tiffin University had a solid opening round but fell off in round two, placing the Dragons in 11th after two rounds of play at the Ken Partridge Invitational at Purgatory Golf Club.

The Dragons shot 297 in round one but dropped back to 310 in round two for 607. That put them 15 strokes out of first, where Maryville finished with 592. Indianapolis and Wayne State were right behind tied for 2nd with 593.

Noah Barth is off to a strong start, sitting in 3rd overall with rounds of 73-72 for 145. Nico Kyprian also stayed steady through two rounds, firing 77-79 for 156.

Britton Hensel had a tough first round with 88 but bounced back nicely in round two with 78 for 166, while Tiffin's other two golfers did the opposite with solid first rounds and more difficult second rounds. Cameron McCloskey shot 72 followed by 83 for 155, while Justin Hand shot 75 followed by 81 for 156.

David Siegel also shot 152 as an individual off rounds of 80 and 72.
