Dragons finish strong at Music City Invite

Tiffin University's men's golf team finished with 586 for 7th place overall at the Music City Invitational at Trevecca Nazarene in Nashville, Tennessee.
 
The Dragons opened with 295 in the first round and finished the second round cutting four strokes down to 291 for a total of 586. Hillsdale College won the tourney with 570, while Findlay finished right behind with 571. Trevecca Nazarene had 575 in finishing third. 
 
Britton Hensel tied for 11th overall and led the Dragons' field with 73 in the 1st round and chopped 3 strokes off for 70 in the 2nd round for a total of 143. 
 
Tiffin's next best shooter was Samuel Reid, who shot 72 in the 1st round and 74 in the 2nd round for 146.  Tomas Krivanec shot 75 in the 1st round and improved in the 2nd round with 73 for 148. Noah Barth shot 75 (1st round) to 74 (2nd round) and totaled 149.  David Siegel shot 76 (1st round) to 77 (2nd round) and totaled 153.
 
"After a dull first round, we are fairly pleased with the third best score of the day today," said Head Coach Jacob Miller. "We now have a quick turnaround until our next event at the Purgatory Invitational."
