Dragons cling to lead heading to NCAA Regional final round

Tiffin University continued to sit atop the 20 team field after round two concluded, but a 13 stroke difference between rounds gave them a slim one stroke lead at the NCAA Midwest/Central Regional held at Findlay Country Club.

TU shot a 294 on day two, far off the 281 of round one, to total 575. Indianapolis was right behind with 576, while Harding and Bellarmine were also in the hunt witih 579 apiece. Missouri St. Louis was also close in fifth with 580.

As a pack the Dragons were all within 4 strokes of each other but there were no sub-70 rounds on day two. Jay Green led the way with a 141 total (69-72), while Jordan Bollenbacher was also consistent with another round of 73. Tomas Krivanec shot 74, two strokes better than his round one total, for a 150 total. Noah Barth was three strokes off (72-75) to top out at 147, while Logan Price could not duplicate his 67 of round one, falling back to 76 for 143 overall.

Play concludes on May 9. The top three teams will advance to the NCAA Championships May 21-25 in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
