Dragons Cruise Past Edinboro, 78-55
The Dragons (4-0) extended their win streak to four to start the season with a dominant victory over the visiting Fighting Scots of Edinboro University, 78-55.
 
TU got off to a bit of a slow start, trailing Edinboro 12-7 after the opening five minutes. The offense began to ignite when, tied at 19, back-to-back layups from Joshua Rivers sparked an 11-3 run over the next three minutes.
 
Tiffin held the Scots scoreless for the final five minutes of the first half, extending its lead to 16 by the halftime buzzer. The Dragons took care of the ball well, not turning the ball over even a single time in the first half.
 
The second half was more of the same as TU extended its lead to as many as 28 points with just under 12 minutes remaining in the game.
 
Leading the way in scoring was Wesley Jordan with 18 points followed closely by Ian Lopez who tallied a season-high 15. Lopez shot 44.4 percent from deep and added six rebounds. Carius Key posted 13 points and tied with Rivers for the most rebounds with eight.
 
Rivers added 11 points and two assists on 62.5 percent shooting from the floor. Morgan Taylor contributed with eight points, five rebounds, and a team-high three assists.
 
Several Dragons picked up their first minutes of the season including Eljae Deas, DJ Gooden, Logan Kottinger, and Jacob Pleiman.
 
Next up, Tiffin will host Bryant & Stratton (Buffalo) College on Tuesday, November 21 at 7:30 p.m. as it looks to remain unbeaten.
