Men’s Basketball 2023-24 Season Preview

Following a school-record 12 conference victories last season, the Dragons are looking towards a promising year in 2023-24.

Tiffin ended last season with an overall record of 15-14 and 12-8 in G-MAC play. TU rattled off six-straight wins to end the regular season before falling short to Malone in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament. The Dragons proved hard to beat at home, finishing with a 10-4 record on their home court.

Just as last year, Tiffin opens its season at the G-MAC/GLVC Crossover this weekend with games against McKendree on Friday and Lewis on Saturday in Columbus, Ohio. That will be followed by a six-game home stand beginning with Kentucky State for its home-opener on Thursday, November 16th at 6 p.m.

The Dragons then head south to Florida to compete at the Holiday Classic hosted by the University of Tampa. Tiffin faces off with Tampa on December 16th followed by Eckerd the following day.

TU returns to conference play on January 4th and wraps up the regular season on March 2nd at Lake Erie.

Led by Head Coach Tom Church, the Dragons are returning all five of their top scorers from a year ago including Wesley Jordan (12.8 PPG), Joshua Rivers (12.8), Carius Key (11.7), Ian Lopez (9.0), and Morgan Taylor (9.0).

Depth was added through the transfer portal in the forms of Brandon Swaby, Rhaven Brown, John Muhammad, KJ Pruitt, DJ Gooden and TJ Hallet.

The Dragons tip off the new season this Friday against McKendree at 7:30 p.m. at Ohio Dominican University.
