Tiffin University (11-13, 8-8 G-MAC) used a huge first-half advantage to propel it to a 71-60 win at Trevecca Nazarene.
Tiffin opened with a 20-10 lead but it wasn't close to being done in the first half. With 7:00 remaining, the Dragons exploded for a 20-5 finish that gave them a massive 40-15 halftime lead.
TNU tried to battle back and used a 37-22 scoring edge in the second half to whittle the lead down to just 10 points at 62-52 with 3:00 remaining, but the Trojans could get no closer as the Dragons evened their conference mark at .500 at 8-8. The win also puts them into a three-way tie for 7th place in the G-MAC standings.
TU held a 35-28 rebounding edge, finished with a 14-6 advantage at the free throw line, and also enjoyed a 20-12 lead in points off turnovers.
Wesley Jordan led the team with 19 points and 5 rebounds, while Joshua Rivers finished with 17 points. Carius Key and Ian Lopez also both reached double figures with 14 apiece.
