Men's Basketball Falls to Walsh 71-51

The Tiffin University men's basketball team (9-12, 6-7 GMAC) fell to G-MAC opponent Walsh 71-51.

The Cavaliers started strong, going on a 15-0 run in the first five minutes of the game, extending their lead to 25-4 with 10:46 left in the first half. Tiffin chipped away at Walsh's lead, outscoring the host 24-15 to cut the lead to 40-28 at the end of the first half.

Walsh continued to outscore TU, going on a 14-6 run to lead 54-34 with 13:17 left in the game. Tiffin responded with a 7-0 run to cut the lead to 54-41. The Cavaliers went on to win the game 71-51.

Carius Key led the team with a double-double, scoring 13 points while shooting 6-for-13 from the field, 12 rebounds, one steal, and one block, Joshua Rivers recorded 12 points shooting 5-for-12 from the field, grabbed five rebounds, two steals, and one assist, and Kasey Hunt had nine points shooting 4-for-5 from the field, and two rebounds. Wesley Jordan also tallied 6 points, taking him over the 1000-point mark for his career. The accomplishment makes him the 34th member of the Dragons' 1000-point club following Trent Williams' entry earlier this season.
