
The Tiffin University men's basketball team (8-10, 6-5 G-MAC) fell to the Salem Tigers 89-57.
A slow start from both teams as Tiffin scored the first points of the game at the 18:00 mark. The Tigers went on a 9-2 run after that to lead 9-4. TU countered with a 4-2 run to cut the lead to 11-8. Salem went on an 11-0 run to lead 22-8 with 9:03 left in the first half. The host led at halftime 36-19.
Tiffin came out strong after the break going on an 11-3 run to cut the lead to 39-28 with 15:58 left. Tiffin chipped away the next three minutes to bring the score to 48-40 at the 13:01 mark. The Tigers' offense went on a 20-5 run to extend their lead to 68-45 with 6:32 left in the game. Salem outscored the Dragons 21-12 the rest of the game to seal the win.
Carius Key led the team with 12 points shooting 4-for-10 from the field, 2-for-5 from beyond the arc, and two steals, Micale Harris scored 10 points shooting 3-for-6 from the field, eight rebounds, two blocks, and one steal, and Joshua Rivers recorded 10 points shooting 3-for-7 from the field, five rebounds, and one assist.
