Key, Jordan lead Dragons in 72-60 win

Tiffin University (4-6, 2-2 G-MAC) had big performances by Caris Key and Wesley Jordan leading to a 72-60 road win at Northwood.

Key led the way with 25 points with 5 rebounds, including 8 for 16 shooting from three-point land. Jordan, meanwhile, added 18 points down low with 5 rebounds on 9 for 11 shooting.

The duo were the only Dragons in double figures, but the rest of the team also played well, committing just 8 turnovers while forcing 17 NU miscues. TU also hit 21 of 26 free throws (80.8 percent), outscoring the Timberwolves at the line 21-10.

TU led for most of the first 10 minutes but a quick Northwood run put them up 23-20 with 5:27 left in the half. 

The Dragons responded with a solid 13-6 burst to close out the half, taking a 33-29 lead into the intermission.

TU opened up a 39-31 lead in the second half and again NU came back, posting a 16-3 run that pushed the Timberwolves ahead 47-42 with 11:46 to play.

Again the Dragons came back strong, outscoring Northwood 30-13 the rest of the way to secure the victory.

Morgan Taylor and Trent Williams tallied 8 points apiece, while Micale Harris led the team with 9 rebounds.
