The Tiffin University men's basketball team (0-4, 0-0 GMAC) fell to Wayne State 83-77. All five starters for Tiffin hit double-digit points.

It was a close contest, as the Dragons shot better from the field, shooting 28-for-54 (51.9%), 4-for-11 (36.4%) from beyond the arc, and had 12 assists, compared to the Warriors who shot 27-for-58 from the field (46.6%), 7-for-21 (33.3%) from beyond the arc, and 11 assists.

A close start as each team was tied at 12 in the first five minutes of play. The Warriors went on a 5-0 run to build a lead, but the Dragons responded with a 7-0 run to lead 19-17.

The two teams kept battling and were tied at 27-27 with 6:03 left in the first half. Wayne State outscored the Dragons 13-4 the rest of the half to lead 40-31 going into the break.

After the break each team scored six points to bring the game to 46-37, then Tiffin went on a 16-0 run over the next four minutes to lead 53-46. The Warriors responded with a 12-5 run to tie the game at 58-58 with 9:04 left in the game.

TU kept the game close until the Warriors went on a 5-0 run to lead 72-67 with 4:29 left in the game. With the lead, the Dragons were forced to foul to preserve time and outscored Tiffin 11-10 which gave Wayne State the 83-77 win.

Joshua Rivers led the Dragons with 17 points shooting 5-for-8 from the field, five rebounds, two steals, one assist, and one block, Morgan Taylor had 14 points shooting 5-for-8 from the field, with six rebounds, five assists, and two steals, and Carius Key recorded 13 points shooting 6-for-10 from the field, grabbed eight rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block.

Trent Williams registered 13 points shooting 4-for-10 from the field, three rebounds, and two assists, and teammate Wesley Jordan had 10 points shooting 4-for-10 from the field, three rebounds, one steal, and one block.
