Tiffin University has been picked 9th in the GMAC preseason poll.

The Dragons (43 points) trail Malone (53) and Cedarville (68) in the poll. Walsh landed the top spot with 121 points and 11 first-place votes out of a possible 12 followed by Findlay (109) in second, Hillsdale (94) in third, and Ashland (87) in fourth.

In the 2021-22 season, TU finished with a 10-18 overall record. The Dragons made big strides last season on offense, setting records for most three-point attempts in a season (853), highest free throw percentage (73.1), and most three-pointers made in a season (288).

This year's squad is returning a trio of standouts, including leading scorer Morgan Taylor who averaged 12.8 points last season, shooting 33.3 percent from beyond the arc, and 47.3 percent from the field, 3.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.0 steal, Trent Williams with 11.3 points, shooting 36.5 percent from the field, and 32.4 percent from the field, 3.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.0 steal, and Wesley Jordan with 10.4 points, shooting 61.2 percent from the field, 4.8 rebounds, 0.7 assists, and 0.6 blocks per game.

Tiffin added some size and depth to the squad in the offseason after graduating six players from last year including Joshua Rivers, Jacob Pleiman, Kasey Hunt, Eljae Deas, Micale Harris, Avery Hudson, and Carius Key.

The Dragons open their season with a trip to North Canton, Ohio for two games in the GMAC-GLVC Crossover Challenge. First, TU faces Maryville on November 11 and then Missouri-St. Louis on November 12. They then travel to Edinboro on November 18, followed by a trip to Wayne State on November 20. They play their home opener against Carlow on November 22 and Salem on November 28. GMAC action begins on December 1, when they host Lake Erie, then they go on the road for a three-game stint against Ohio Dominican on December 3, Findlay on December 10, and Northwood on December 15. TU comes back home before the winter break to take on Hillsdale on December 17.
