Carius Key has joined the Tiffin University men's basketball program.

Key transfers to Tiffin as a junior from Texas A&M Commerce. He is a 6-2 guard from Irving, Texas.

He made his debut at Texas A&M Commerce in the 2019-20 season. The junior has played 43 games in his career, averaging 3.3 points, shooting 40.6 from the floor, 1.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 0.5 steals per game.

"I chose Tiffin University because I was looking for a fresh start and the coaching staff made me feel at home," said Key. "I believe Tiffin will open doors for me in an educational sense where I can network and gain employment. I also feel that Tiffin is a place where I can take my game to the next level while also finishing school. I am excited to be a part of this University and ready to take that next step with this program."

"Our patience paid off with this recruiting class and our ability to land Carius," said Head Coach Tom Church. "Carius is a big, physical point guard that will add the size and toughness we need to compete in the GMAC. He transfers from one of the best Division II conferences in the country and his veteran presence and leadership will be welcome within our program."
