The Tiffin University men's basketball team will take on two GMAC opponents. First, they host Malone on Thursday, February 17, with the game set to start at 7:30 p.m. Then, Tiffin hosts Walsh on Saturday, February 19, with a 3:00 p.m. tip-off.

Dragon Details:

The Dragons went 2-1 last week with a win over Trevecca Nazarene twice and an overtime loss to Kentucky Wesleyan.

Morgan Taylor leads the team with 12.8 points shooting 47.3 percent from the field and 32.1 percent from three-point range, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.2 assists, Tylin Lockett-Fuller scores 12.0 points shooting 44.3 percent from the field and 39.2 percent from three-point territory, 3.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.5 steals, and Trent Williams registers 11.3 points, shooting 35.2 percent from the field and 30.5 percent from beyond the arc, 3.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.2 steals.

 

Scouting the Pioneers:

The Pioneers went 1-1 last week in conference play with a win over Hillsdale.

Malone's offense is led by Bryce Butler who is averaging 17.1 points shooting 44.9 percent from the field and 31.4 percent from beyond the arc, 4.3 rebounds, 3.65 assists, and 1.1 steals, followed by Bo Myers who is averaging 16.9 points shooting 50.8 percent from the field and 42.0 percent from three-point territory, 6.0 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 1.2 assists. Marcus Ernst scores 12.9 points shooting 54.1 percent from the field, 9.6 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.

The Pioneers lead the all-time series against the Dragons 61-24, with their last meeting coming on January 3, 2022, when the Pioneers won 100-82.

 

Scouting the Cavaliers:

The Cavaliers went 1-1 last week with a win over Findlay.

Walsh's offense is led by Darryl Straughter who is averaging 14.3 points shooting 39.4 percent from the field and 36.8 percent from beyond the arc, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists, Garrison Keeslar registers 14.2 points shooting 43.4 percent from the field, 8.1 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 1.4 steals, and Caleb Canter tallies 11.5 points shooting 61.1 percent from the field, 5.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 0.9 steals per game.  

The Cavaliers lead the all-time series against the Dragons 65-25, with the last meeting coming on Jan. 18, 2022, when the Cavaliers won 80-75.
