Men’s Basketball Battle Walsh, Cedarville, and ODU in Conference Play

The Tiffin University men's basketball team will face three conference opponents this week starting with Walsh on Tuesday, January 18 with a 7:30 p.m. start time. Then, TU heads to Cedarville on Thursday, January 20 with a 7:30 p.m. tip-off. Finally, the Dragons head home to host Ohio Dominican on Saturday January 22, with a 3:00 p.m. game time.

Dragon Details:

The Dragons went 0-2 last week against two GMAC opponents.

Tiffin's offense is led by Luke Johnson who averages 12.7 points shooting 63.9 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from beyond the arc, 3.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.9 steals, while brother and teammate Tanner Johnson scores 12.0 points shooting 42.8 percent from the field, and 40.7 percent from three-point range, 5.1 rebounds, 0.8 assists, and 0.8 steals per game. Morgan Taylor scores 11.8 points shooting 45.2 percent from the field, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists, and Trent Williams registers 10.8 points, shooting 34.7 percent from the field, and 32.1 percent from beyond the arc, 3.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.2 steals.

Walsh's offense is led by Darryl Straughter who is averaging 15.0 points shooting 38.3 percent from the field and 35.9 percent from three-point territory, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.7 assists, Garrison Keeslar scores 13.7 points shooting 42.2 percent from the field, grabs 8.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.3 steals, and Caleb Canter tallies 11.2 points shooting 61.5 percent from the field, 5.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.0 steals per game.
