Men’s Basketball Drops Heartbreaker to Walsh 66-62

The Tiffin University men's basketball team dropped a close game to conference opponent Walsh University 66-62. 

The Cavaliers improve to 8-7 overall and 8-7 in the conference while the Dragons drops to 5-13 overall and 5-13 in the conference.

Walsh went up 7-2 early then the Dragons went on a 7-0 run to lead 9-7. The Dragons kept the game close going into halftime down 34-32.

A continued to be tight in the second half as the teams traded buckets with neither team being able to put a run together. With 2:09 left in the game Thomas Hickman made a layup which tied the game at 62-62. The Cavaliers outscored the Dragons 4-0 in the final two minutes to take the 66-62 win. 

Trent Williams and Dalaino Walker led the team with 13 points each with Williams shooting 4-for-11, one rebounds two assists, and two steals and Walker shooting 4-for-10 with four rebounds. 

Thomas Hickman and Wesley Jordan each scored 10 points with Hickman shooting 5-for-10 from the field, with four rebounds, six assists, two blocks and one steal and Jordan shooting 3-for-5, with nine rebounds, two steals, and one block.
