Dragons Fall 91-67 to Ky. Wesleyan

The Tiffin University men's basketball team lost 91-67 at Kentucky Wesleyan, as the Panthers used red hot shooting to put TU away.

The Dragons fall to 2-3 overall and 2-3 in the conference while the Panthers improve to 4-2 overall and 3-2 in the conference.

The Panthers shot 12-for-18 beyond the arc compared to the Dragons 11-for-25. Tiffin was also outrebounded 32-17. 

Wesley Jordan fired a triple to start the game, but the Panthers had the hot hand and pulled out to an early 19-11 lead in the first five minutes of play.

The Dragons would counter with a 15-2 run to take a 26-25 lead.

The Panthers ended the half with a 9-0 run with three daggers from beyond the arc to end the half with a 43-32 lead. Ky. Wesleyan shot 7-for-8 from three point range while Tiffin shot 6-for-13.

The Panthers extended their lead after the break, going up 57-36 with 15:20 in the second half.

KWC continued its hot shooting in the second half to extend their lead to win 91-67.

Trent Williams led the Dragons, scoring 12 of his 18 points in the first half along with four rebounds. With his 18 points Williams broke his career high of 17 points that came against Wheeling on Nov. 30, 2019.

Jaeden King scored 15 points on the night and added two rebounds and one assist.

Dalaino Walker reached double figures as well with 14 points and three rebounds. Walker set a season-high scoring 14 points, hitting double figures for the first time this season.
