Tiffin University (2-2, 2-2 GMAC) kept its game at Cedarville close but could not slow down the Yellow Jackets' offense in the second half, falling 101-77.

The Dragons hung tough with Cedarville throughout the opening half, staying within two baskets for most of the first 20 minutes. With 2:07 left in the first half, TU trailed just 39-34. Cedarville managed to tally four more points over the remainder of the half while TU was kept off the board on the way to a 43-34 halftime score.

While Tiffin improved its shooting from 38 percent to 45 percent in the second half, the Dragons could not shut down Cedarville's offense. The Yellow Jackets improved from 51 percent to 57 percent from the floor, including 72 percent from three in the final half. 

TU trailed just 50-44 at the 15:48 mark and was still within range at the 11:25 mark, trailing 65-57. Cedarville then exploded for an 18-8 run that catapulted it ahead decisively 83-65 with just 5:00 remaining.

The Yellow Jackets also closed strong, posting an 18-12 run to finish out the game. 

Overall CU outshot TU 54 percent to 42 percent, including a 52 to 37 percent edge from three point land. CU also held the rebounding advantage 44-32 and outscored TU 24-11 on second chance points.

Tanner Johnson and Braxton Foreman led the Dragons with 14 points each, with Foreman also grabbing 4 rebounds. Jaeden King and Eric Turner scored 11 apiece, while Wesley Jordan added 10 points and 5 rebounds. Trent Williams had 8 points with 8 rebounds and 5 assists.
