Jaeden King Signs With Men's Basketball

Tiffin men's basketball has announced the signing of transfer Jaeden King to add to their 2020 recruiting class.

King is a 6'6" guard from St. Paul, Minnesota and Cretin-Durham Hall High School. He comes to Tiffin as a sophomore after playing at Division I Western Illinois University in 2019-20.

"Jaeden is exactly the kind of talented, hard-working student-athlete that we needed to complete our recruiting class," said TU head coach, Tom Church. "I think he has a chance to be a special player within our program and I'm excited for him to join our Family. With Jaeden's length and skillset on the perimeter, he will give our team the versatility to play a lot of different lineups. Jaeden and I had great conversations throughout his recruitment process and I'm happy that Tiffin University was what he was looking for both athletically and academically to fulfill his future goals."

As a freshman at Western Illinois, King saw action in 16 games, averaging 3.5 points and 2.3 rebounds. He recorded a career-high 13 points and nine rebounds against UT Martin on Nov. 13 while also adding 12 points and seven boards against Central Christian on Nov. 23.

While at Cretin-Durham Hall, King was a top-10 finalist for Minnesota Mr. Basketball as a senior, scored 1,560 career points, and was a three-time All-Conference selection. As a senior, he poured in 21.2 points per game. During his junior year, he averaged 14 points per game, shooting 48.7% from the floor with 80 made triples. Cretin-Durham Hall went 30-2 that year en route to its first state championship in 25 years, with King scoring 19 points in the title game.

"I chose Tiffin University because of the great opportunities that the school has to offer on and off the court," said King. He plans to major in Sports Management and Marketing at Tiffin.
