Dragons Overpowered by Chargers

TIFFIN, Ohio - Tiffin men's basketball ran into a tough Hillsdale squad on Thursday night, falling 95-71 to the GMAC-leading Chargers.

Joshua Williams led the Dragons with 20 points, including going 4-6 from deep, along with five rebounds and three steals. 

Jairus Stevens added 14 points and Austin Schaub 12 for TU, with Schaub tying a career-high with four triples on four attempts.

Wesley Jordan chipped in eight hard-fought points as well, while Trent Williams scored six points and notched five assists.

Hillsdale was incredibly efficient in the game, shooting 64.9% from the field and 60% from deep. Tiffin was not that bad either, shooting 41.5%, but the Dragons were only able to pull down 23 rebounds compared to 39 for the Chargers.

Tiffin was also outscored 50 to 30 in the paint, but did have advantages in turnovers (8-14) and points off turnovers (16-8).

The Dragons look to reverse fortune on Saturday when they host rival Findlay in the Gillmor at 3:00 p.m.
