DeJuan Rogers

DeJuan Rogers enters his first season as the Defensive Backs Coach on the Tiffin football staff in the spring of 2023. 

Rogers previously coached at Belleville High School in Belleville, Michigan from 2019-2023, finishing with an overall record of 48-3. While at Belleville Rogers led one of the top football programs in Michigan, winning Back to Back State Championships in 2021 & 2022. In 2021 he served as the Defensive Coordinator and Asst. Head Coach for Jermain Crowell and in 2022 he took over as Head Coach. He was also named the 2022 Detroit Free Press Coach of the year while on a 25-game win streak. Rogers is the youngest Head Coach in Michigan to have won a state title. He has helped develop numerous college prospects at the FBS level. His 2022 team finished undefeated (14-0) for the first time in school history with 4-star recruit LB/RB Jeremiah Beasley and 5-star QB Bryce Underwood leading the way.

Rogers also served as Graduate Assistant Defensive Backs/Linebackers coach at Iowa State University from 2018-19 under Defensive Coordinator Jon Heacock, working closely with safety Greg Eisworth as he earned Big-12 Defensive Newcomer of the Year and First Team all Big-12 accolades. Iowa State led the Big 12 in rushing defense and tied the school record for sacks in a season with 33 while also ranking 15th nationally in red zone defense as the Cyclones went 8-5 and made a trip to the Valero Alamo Bowl. 

Rogers played defensive back at the University of Toledo from 2013-16 under Head Coaches Matt Campbell and Jason Candle. During his time at Toledo he finished with 41 career starts. The 4-year letterwinner was also a Team Captain, two-time All-MAC standout, Jim Thorpe Award candidate, 80th-ranked player in college football (PFF) and Walter Camp National Player of the week nominee. Toledo finished with the #1 ranked MAC rushing defense (2014), #1 Ranked MAC scoring defense (2015), and #2 Ranked MAC rushing defense (2015). Rogers was the player of the game in arguably one of the biggest wins in Toledo history where they upset No. 18 Arkansas 16-12. He finished with 11 Tackles and a game sealing interception. They were also Go Daddy Bowl Champions and Boca Raton Bowl Champions.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interpersonal Communication from the University of Toledo in 2016.
