Banks-Dorn, Mankins named G-MAC Athletes of Week

Tyrese Banks-Dorn and Marshawn Mankins earned top offensive and defensive honors in the G-MAC, as the weekly Athlete of the Week honors were announced.

Banks-Dorn opened Tiffin's 37-12 Homecoming victory over Kentucky Wesleyan by being crowned Homecoming King and then rambling for 206 yards. He became just the 9th running back in TU history to rush for over 200 yards in a game, posting the most rushing yards for a TU back since 2019. He is also only the fourth running back in the last 20 years to eclipse the 200-yard mark. He finished with 206 yards on just 18 carries, averaging 11.4 yards per rush along with a 7-yard touchdown run. His score came at the 3:22 mark of the fourth quarter and put the icing on the cake in a rain-soaked game. He also pushed his total to 206 yards on the game's final play, a bruising 9-yard run as time expired.

Mankins had big plays early for Tiffin, finishing with 6 tackles while also getting a fumble recovery for a score, an interception, and a half-tackle for loss. His two turnovers caused led directly to 10 Dragons points.
