Tiffin University (7-0) has cracked the Top 25 in the latest AFCA Division II poll, placing 23rd.
The move jumps the Dragons four spots from last week. Tiffin is the only G-MAC school ranked nationally and has been steadily climbing the polls after their 7-0 start. The Dragons most recently beat Lake Erie 50-0 to improve to 5-0 in the conference.
The Dragons also continue to factor high in the national statistical rankings. They rank in the Top 8 in 12 different categories. They lead the nation in kick return defense and are second in offensive first downs, total offense, turnover margin, and turnovers gained.
The team is also 3rd in rushing offense, 4th in scoring offense, 6th in defensive touchdowns, 7th in defensive pass efficiency and pass yards allowed, and 8th in interceptions and fumbles recovered.
Individually Ronald Blackman leads the nation in yards per carry and is 11th in overall rushing yards and 13th in yards per game.
Kason Martin is 15th in points responsible for, while Jesse Connell is also 7th in fumbles recovered, Chucky Lewis is also 9th in interceptions per game, and Robert Holtz is 13th in sacks.
