Tiffin University's football team rose to 30th in the Division II poll, as the AFCA released this week's national rankings.
Tiffin is the only G-MAC school ranked nationally and has been steadily climbing the polls after their 4-0 start. The Dragons most recently downed Ashland 55-30 to improve to 2-0 in the conference.
The Dragons also continue to factor high in the national statistical rankings. They lead the nation in turnover margin and turnovers gained while also placing second in total offense, first downs, and passes intercepted.
The Dragons also placed in the Top 8 in the country in scoring average (3rd), defensive touchdowns (3rd), fumbles recovered (3rd), kick return defense (3rd), and rushing (8th).
Individually Ronald Blackman leads the nation in yards per carry and is 14th in overall rushing yards. He makes a strong partner for Devin Nelson, who also ranks 16th in yards per carry and 18th in rushing yards.
Kason Martin in Top 15 in three categories - passing touchdowns (11th), points responsible for (12th), and points responsible per game (14th).
Jesse Connell is 4th in fumbles recovered, while Josh Lewis and Jalen Thomas are tied for 15th nationally in receiving touchdowns. Robert Holtz is also 14th in sacks.
