Tiffin to play in Crossroads Bowl Dec. 3

The Tiffin University Dragons and Truman State University Bulldogs have been selected to participate in the third annual America's Crossroads Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 3, in Hobart, Ind.
 
Tiffin (6-4, 6-2) and Truman State (8-2, 5-1), will represent both the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) and Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), respectively, in the contest held at the Brickyard Stadium at 2 P.M. EST local time.
 
The Dragons finished tied for second place in the Great Midwest standings. Tiffin ended the season winning three of its final five games.  Before Saturday, the Dragons were tied for first place with regular season champions Ashland University, before falling to Findlay in the final regular season contest.
 
During the season, Tiffin led the league in points per game, scoring 36.5 while holding opponents to 15.6 points per contest. The duo of Darius Pinnix and Devin Nelson helped the Dragons rank second in rushing yards with 2012 yards on the season. Pinnix averaged 79.6 yards per game with Nelson close behind at 57.2. Both Pinnix and Nelson sit at fourth and fifth in the conference yards per carry, respectively.
 
Truman State will be returning to the Crossroads Bowl for the third time after finishing second in GLVC play in 2022. The Bulldogs went on an eight-game win streak before falling to GLVC champions UIndy in the season finale.
 
The America's Crossroads Bowl is one of four NCAA Division II bowl games sponsored nationally in 2022 and is conducted in partnership with the South Shore Convention & Visitors Authority and City of Hobart.
