15th-ranked Tiffin University takes to the road to battle 12th-ranked Indianapolis in a battle of Top 15 programs in Week 3.

Indianapolis Notes

- The Reigning GLVC champs entered the fall picked to win the GLVC according to the Preseason Coaches' Poll and is ranked 10th in the D2Football.com poll and 12th in the AFCA poll. 
- After earning the program's third consecutive playoff berth in 2019 the Greyhounds are looking to extend its postseason streak this fall. UIndy is one of five Super Region 3 schools to qualify for each of the past three postseasons, with only four current SR3 teams claiming as many playoff berths since 2012 (6 each for UIndy, Ferris State, and Harding; 8 for Northwest Missouri State). 


Indianapolis Offense

- The Hounds offense is led by their rushing attack as they average 230.5 rushing yards per game, 7 total touchdowns. 173 passing yards per game with two touchdowns and a 53.8 completion percentage. 
- Toriano Clinton, a 2019 All-GLVC Second Team selection, leads all rushers with 65 rushes for 417 yards and seven touchdowns. He broke a single-game rushing record last week against GMAC opponent Hillsdale with 270 yards.
- The play caller for the Hounds is Bryce Stancombe. He averages 173 passing yards with a 53.8 completion percentage and two passing touchdowns. His favorite receivers are Frank Bentley with 8 catches for 97 yards and Alonzo Derrick with 4 catches for 92 yards, and two touchdowns. 


Indianapolis Defense

- UIndy's defense has had a strong start to the season, holding opponents to 71 rushing yards, 308 passing yards and 20.50 points per game. 
- The Hounds have registered 8.0 sacks, 3 interceptions, and forced five fumbles through two games. 
- UIndy's defense is led by Kiave' Guerrier totaling 19 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss and one forced fumble, Kyle Borske with 7 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 4.0 tackles for loss, and one quarterback hurry, and Benjamin Hunnious on the back end who has 12 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, one interception and three pass breakups through two games. 


Tiffin Notes

- The Dragons are coming off an unprecedented season in the GMAC going 6-0 on the season and capturing back-to-back GMAC  Championships for the first time in Conference history.
- Tiffin has gone 17-2 over the last 19 games and look to capture their third consecutive Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship. 
- Tiffin was selected first in the 2021 Preseason Coaches Poll receiving 48 points with 6 first-place votes followed by Findlay, Ohio Dominican and GMAC newcomer Ashland. 
- The Dragons hosted the Northwood Timberwolves and won 40-6. With the win Tiffin moved up to 15th in the AFCA poll and 18th in the D2Football.com poll.


Tiffin Offense

- The Dragons offense looks impressive through two games as they average 37 points per game, 295.5 passing yards, and 233.5 rushing yards. 
- Nick Watson, the reigning GMAC Player of the Year, has thrown for 536 yards with a 56.5 completion percentage, 4 passing touchdowns, and a 143.9 efficiency rating. Watson's main weapons are Anthony Lowe with 15 catches for 209 yards, and teammate Jalen Thomas who has 7 catches for 106 yards and 3 receiving touchdowns.
- Tiffin has a three pronged rushing attack with Baden Pinson leading the way with 24 rushes for 143 yards (averaging 71.5 per game), Nick Watson rushing 15 times for 137 yards and three rushing touchdowns, and Darius Pinnix rushing 19 times for 100 yards and two rushing touchdowns. 
- The Dragons offensive line is led by reigning GMAC Offensive Lineman of the Year Trent Clark along with Caleb Pierce, Shane Bumgardner, Jacob Oglesby, and Zack Richardson


Tiffin Defense

- Tiffin's Defense picked up right where they left off in the spring of 2021, as they have dominated the opposition through two games. TU is allowing 191 yards of total offense, 54.5 rushing yards, 136.5 passing yards and holding opponents to 8 points per game. 
- In the second half of the Northwood game the defense only allowed 20 yards of total offense and held NU to -5 rushing yards in the half. 
- Tiffin has registered 10 sacks, three interceptions, 10 tackles for loss, and three forced fumbles through two games for a +3 turnover margin. 
- The D-line is led by GMAC Defensive Lineman of the Year Charlie Cleveland with 18 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and 2.5 tackles for loss, Landon Hall with 14 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and one forced fumble, and Hunter Waits with 10 tackles, 2 sacks, and 1.5 tackles for loss.
