Tiffin University had five major award recipients during the announcement of the 2020-21 Football All GMAC selections as voted by the conference coaches.

Tiffin officially claimed the conference championship title under Great Midwest Coach of the Year Cris Reisert with an undefeated run through the league standings this spring to officially make it back-to-back trophies. The Dragons had also won the conference trophy in 2019 while qualifying for the NCAA Championship Super Region 1 bracket. It is also the second straight coach of the year honor for Reisert as chosen by his colleagues on the sidelines.

The Great Midwest Player of the Year was Tiffin senior quarterback Nick Watson. In just six games, Watson completed almost 55 percent of his passes for nearly 1,500 yards and threw for 9 touchdowns vs. just one interception. He was conference offensive player of the week three times and averaged over 247 yards through the air per game. The redshirt senior was also a dual threat in the ground game while scoring seven rushing TD's to go with 337 yards and 5.7 yards per carry.

Watson has now earned his third All GMAC honor. In 2019 he earned GMAC Offensive Player of the Year while also landing all conference honors in 2018.

One of Watson's go-to weapons on offense was senior WR Devin Butler, who was voted as the Great Midwest Offensive Player of the Year. Butler was the league leader in receiving yards per game (76.4) and averaged over 18 yards per catch, another number ranking first among all players. Butler showed up big time in the conference championship game vs. Findlay and was named conference player of the week for his efforts. Butler caught four passes for scores and had 21 receptions for 382 yards. Butler is now a two-time First Team honoree.

The Dragons earned additional season honors with senior Trent Clark earning Great Midwest Offensive Lineman of the Year and dangerous edge rusher Charlie Cleveland being named Great Midwest Defensive Lineman of the Year for the second straight time.

Clark helped pave the way in a ground game that averaged over 171 yards per game and provided plenty of protection for Watson to pick his spots in the passing game. Clark was the top vote getter among all interior linemen in the all-conference balloting. This is his second First Team honor.

Cleveland tied for the league lead in sacks with 5 and was second in tackles for a loss with 8. He finished with an average of 5.5 tackles per game and is an absolute handful while stuffing the run or getting into the opponent's backfield packed into an explosive 6-4, 250 pound frame. This marks the second year in a row he has been named Defensive Lineman of the Year.

Joining Watson, Butler, and Clark on the GMAC First Team Offense is running back Marcus Davis and wide receiver Anthony Lowe.

Davis led the GMAC in rushing with 80.2 ypg and 481 yards rushing in 6 games. He was also fifth in touchdowns scored during his debut season. Lowe also made a big impact in his first year, placing second only to Butler in the GMAC with 74.5 ypg. He led all GMAC receivers with 447 yards receiving.

Earning First Team Defense selection was defensive lineman Latrell Robinson, linebackers Brandon Burks and Marshawn Mankins, defensive back Kevin Hyde, and punter David Orlando.

Robinson was amongst conference leaders in tackles for loss and sacks. He finished with 27 tackles, 3.5 for loss, and 2 sacks. He was also a Second Team selection in 2019. Burks and Mankins were standout linebackers, with Mankins totaling 26 tackles, 4.5 for loss, and a sack. Burks earned his second All Conference citation and finished with 19 tackles, while Kevin Hyde had 12 tackles, 4 deflections, and an interception. He factored amongst GMAC leaders in passes defended.

Orlando was third in punting average and second in field goals made, while also placing second in kick scoring.

Second Team Offense honors went to James Dean and Caleb Pierce.

Dean was part of Tiffin's lethal receiving corps. He placed 9th in the GMAC in receiving yards per game, totaling 192 yards. Pierce landed his second All Conference honor and joins Clark on the offensive line, anchoring the GMAC's top passing offense.

More standouts landed honors on Second Team Defense. Lineman Hunter Waits, linebacker Landon Hall, and secondary standouts Jermaine Wimpye, and Tyler Richardson were all selected.

Waits posted 15 tackles with 2 for loss, while Hall was fifth on the team with 25 tackles and 1.5 for loss. Wimpye and Richardson were part of Tiffin's secondary, with both players amongst conference leaders in interceptions. Wimpye had 19 tackles, 2 for loss with 2 breakups and a pick, while Richardson had 2 interceptions and 8 tackles. This is also the second All GMAC honor for both players.

Five more offensive selections came on the GMAC Third Team.

Devin Nelson, Blake Darnell, Jacob Oglesby, Zack Richardson, and James Raber all landed spots on the team. Nelson had 147 yards rushing (24.5 ypg), while Darnell landed his second All GMAC honor manning the tight end position and helping offensive linemen Oglesby, Richardson, and Raber lead TU's potent offensive attack. The Dragons were second in scoring offensively while also boasting a balanced rushing and passing attack that accounted for a conference-best 423.7 yards per game, more than 50 yards per game higher than their nearest competitor.
