Tiffin University will look to continue its pursuit of a NCAA Division II National Championship, as it announced an adjustment to its 2020 football schedule.

The Dragons are coming off a historic 2019 season where they made their first NCAA Championships appearance after winning the GMAC Championship with a perfect 7-0 record. They finished the year ranked 23rd in the country with a 9-2 record, posting back-to-back nine-win seasons for just the second time in program history (2006, 07).

Tiffin will open their season on Sept. 3 with a Thursday night game at Frost Kalnow Stadium against perennial national power Grand Valley State at 7 pm.

Tiffin then takes to the road with a long trip to Saint Anselm (N.H.) on Sept. 12 before returning home for its annual Homecoming game Sept. 19 against GMAC rival Walsh at 4 pm. Tiffin then finishes the month with a tough road battle against 25th ranked Lindenwood (Mo.) on Sept. 26.

The Dragons open October back at home for a 2 pm game against Kentucky Wesleyan on Oct. 10, kicking off the remainder of their season with conference games. They take on Walsh for the second time in 2020, this time in North Canton for a GMAC matchup that replaces the previously announced game against Alderson-Broaddus on Oct. 17. They then come back home Oct. 24 for a 2 pm tilt against Lake Erie. Nationally-ranked Ohio Dominican will host the Dragons on Oct. 31 in a big GMAC showdown to finish the month in Columbus.

Two more big matchups remain in November. TU will travel to Hillsdale on Nov. 7 for a 1 pm game before coming home for Senior Day on Nov. 14 against Findlay at 1 pm in a game that could have huge conference and NCAA postseason implications.
