TU finishes 4th at Lake Erie Hunt

The Tiffin University Equestrian Team came 4th out of eleven teams at the Lake Erie Hunt show.

Starting the show day was the Intermediate Jumping. Carolyn McCurrach received 4th place in her class. She had a redemption ride on the horse she rode yesterday. McCurrach shared with us that the horse had much less energy today. "I was happy with the ride. It was much better than yesterday. It was a good opportunity to overcome challenges," she said. With our Novice Jumping, Melissa Macechko left her class with a 5th place.  Lindsay Weiser received 4th place in her novice class.

In the Open Flat, Carolyn McCurrach did really well in her competitive class. She left the Open with 6th place. In the Intermediate Flat, Rachael Dowczek also had a very competitive class and left her class with 6th place. Moving into the Novice Flat, Sydney Cox received a well deserved 3rd place and Melissa Macechko left her class with 2nd place.

In the Beginning Walk/Trot/Canter, Morgan Hixenbaugh received a 6th place.

Madeline Powers left with a well deserved 2nd place and Caitlyn Borer left with 4th place. In the Walk/Trot, Alexis Williams left her second hunt show ever with a 1st place. Williams  said, "I was shocked! I felt inspired to work harder."
