The Tiffin University Equestrian Dragons started out their hunt season at Findlay's James L. Child Jr. Equestrian Complex.

The show started out with Hunter Jumping. Hunter jumping is when the riders will be given a specific course to follow while jumping their horse that they draw.

Starting our jumping course in the Intermediate level was Rebecca McCrea. Rebecca rode her course with poise and determination. Rachael Dowczek received 6th place in her well ridden jumping course. Paige McCaslin had a beautiful ride while Carolyn McCurrach left her class with a well deserved 2nd place. The second division in the jumping was started out by Devyn Hennessy, who rode with passion in her class. Melissa Macechko left her class with a wonderful 5th place. Sydney Cox had a spirited ride. And last but not least, Lindsay Weiser left her class with a 6th place. The competition in the jumping is very competitive.

It is also very competitive in the flat classes. There is a variety of levels that our many riders compete in when it comes to the flat. The flat classes can consist of walk, trot or walk, trot, canter. It depends on the division.  TU started out at the highest level, Open. Carolyn McCurrach is the team's open rider for the flat. She left her class with yet another well deserved 2nd place. Going into our Intermediates, Rachael Dowczek was very strong willed in her flat class. Rebecca McCrea left her class with a well deserved 2nd place. Going into our Novice division, Melissa Macechko received a 3rd place in her class. Sydney Cox and Paige McCaslin had a purposeful ride while Lindsay Weiser had an excellent ride. Devyn Hennessy finished off the Novice classes by bringing home a 3rd place ribbon. Moving onto the Beginning Walk, Trot, Canter, Laina Herniter received 5th place. Kaitlyn Borer rode so well she received a 3rd place. Kier Scott received a 5th place in his class as well. Our last class, Walk, Trot was ridden by Jordan Sauer.
