Tiffin University (11-28, 3-19 G-MAC) could not keep up with Ohio Dominican's offense, falling 12-6 and 18-10 in the first two games of a four-game series.

In the opener, the Dragons got on the board in the first inning. Tim Orr and Griffin Stevens both reached on errors, and another error at third base on a grounder by Tommy Thamann let a run in for the Dragons.

The Panthers responded in strong fashion, scoring 3 runs in the second, 4 in the fifth, and 3 more in the seventh to take a commanding lead.

In the seventh, Logan Swonger tripled followed by an Orr single. A fielder's choice got another run in. Ben Bach laced a single, and Thamann doubled for another RBI.

In the ninth trailing 12-3, TU tried to rally. Bach singled, Thamann walked, and Hilario DeLaPaz ripped a single for an RBI. A passed ball let the runners advance, and Ty Hatfield was then hit by a pitch. A wild pitch sent another runner across the plate, while another passed ball did the same for TU's final runs.

In the nightcap, TU jumped out to a big 9-0 lead in the first inning. Swonger walked, Orr singled, and Stevens walked to load the bases. An error on a grounder to third base by Bach let one run in. DeLaPaz then tripled for 3 RBI. Hatfield and Aidan Grabowski walked, and an error at shortstop on a Swonger grounder let another run cross the plate. Orr then doubled for 3 more RBI, and Stevens finished the huge inning off with another single and RBI.

The wheels came off after the big first inning, however. ODU scored in every inning after the first, totaling 18 hits and 18 runs before TU got back on the board again.

In the seventh, Adam Deitschel singled and advanced to second on a grounder to first. Orr then singled for Tiffin's final run.

Andrew Fairbrother took the loss in relief, tossing 0.2 innings and allowing 4 earned runs. Rob DeBastos started and went 2.2 innings, allowing 4 earned runs. Gunnar Boehm was first out in relief but last just one inning, allowing 3 earned runs before Fairbrother came in.

In game two, Orr had 4 hits for 4 RBI while DeLaPaz had 2 hits for 3 RBI.

Swonger, Stevens, DeLaPaz, and Bach all had 2 hits apiece in game one, while Thamann had 2 RBI with a double.
