Boswell, Stevens, Orr Receive NCBWA All-Region Accolades

The Tiffin University baseball team had three Dragons selected to the NCBWA All-Midwest Region Team for their performance during the 2022 season.

Michael Boswell was named NCBWA Pitcher of the year, Griffin Stevens was Second Team at second base, and Tim Orr was Second Team as well as the designated hitter.

Joe Wilkins was voted NCBWA Midwest Region Coach of the Year for his team's performance during the 2022 regular season as they were the GMAC regular season champions with a conference record of 22-6 and 29-19 overall record.

Michael Boswell led the team with an 8-3 record, four complete games, two shutouts, a 1.96 ERA, pitched 78.0 innings, allowed 53 hits, 26 runs, 17 earned runs, 98 strikeouts, 11.31 strikeouts per nine innings, and led the conference holding opponents to a .187 batting average. He fanned 16 batters in his conference tournament start vs. Walsh. In conference play, Boswell was 6-1 with a 1.04 ERA. This year he broke the all-time school record for career wins with 26. The previous record was held by Gregg Prenzlin with 23 from 1994-97.

Griffin Stevens tied for second in the conference in batting average at .420, tied for first in the conference in hits at 81, and was eighth in the conference in RBI with 50.

Tim Orr ended up third in the conference in batting average at .415, third in slugging at .774, second in on-base plus slugging at 1.250, third in the conference with 62 RBI, led the conference in triples with six, and was eighth in home runs at 11.
