The Tiffin University baseball team was defeated by Gannon 6-5.

The Golden Knights improve to 3-2 overall, while the Dragons fall to 4-9.

The Golden Knights started strong, scoring in the first inning on a wild pitch. The Dragons responded in the bottom of the first as Jake Shier scored from third off a groundout from Griffin Stevens.

Gannon took the lead in the second as Callahan hit a home run with two runners on to lead 4-1.

Tiffin responded in the fifth inning as Marino Pugnetti hit an RBI single to score Danny Donnelly from second. An error by the centerfielder allowed Shier to score from second, and three pitches later, Stevens singled to right field to score Pugnetti from third to tie the game at 4-4.

The Dragons took the lead in the sixth innings as Tim Orr hit a double that scored Thomas Auth from second to lead 5-4.

Gannon scored two runs in the seventh inning to lead 6-5 to seal the win.

Francisco Olivarez took the loss in relief as he pitched 5.0 innings, allowed five hits, two runs, and struck out five.

Jake Shier led the team with three hits on the day, going 3-for-5 and scoring two runs, and teammate Griffin Stevens led the team with two RBI and went 1-for-4 at the plate.
