The Tiffin University baseball team won three games against Ohio Valley today, 4-3, 6-2, and 17-5.  

Game 2: 

The Dragons continued their offensive assault, scoring two in the bottom of the first. With runners on first and second, Nich Green singled up the middle to bring in Danny Donnelly from second and advancing Kyle Vance to second. Then, Griffin Stevens singled to left field to score Kyle Vance from second. 

The Fighting Scots took the lead in the third with three runs on a bases-loaded walk, a fielder's choice to second base to score the man on third, and a sac fly to center field to lead 3-2. 

Tiffin scored in the bottom of the fifth off a single to center field to bring in Stevens from second to tie the game at 3 all. 

The game was postponed yesterday due to the sun going down and continued Sunday at noon. After a scoreless eighth inning, the Dragons held off the Scots in the ninth, then loaded the bases. With Bryce Richey up to bat he hit a walk-off single to win game two.

Griffin Stevens went 3-for-5 in the game, with one RBI, and scored one run. Ricky Havrilla went 2-for-2 and had one RBI. 

Michael Ross started the game on the mound and pitched 5.0 innings, allowing one hit and three runs with five strikeouts. Logan Fisher pitched 4.0 innings, allowed three hits and struck out seven. 

Game 3: 

The Dragons got on the board first in the bottom of the second as Zach Campbell hit a solo home run to right field, then Stevens reached on an error by the third baseman to bring in Green from third to make it 2-0. 

The Fighting Scots countered with a run in the top of the fourth. With a runner on second Lohr singled up the middle to score Garcia from second.

Havrilla singled to the left side, then Marino Pugnetti bunted, moving Havrilla to second, and Jake Shier reached first on the throwing error by the shortstop to score Havrilla to lead 3-1.

Ohio Valley scored a run in the top of the sixth to come within one of the Dragons at 3-2. 

Tiffin scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to cushion their lead. With two outs Pugnetti, Orr, and Shier loaded the bases then Donnelly reached on a throwing error by the shortstop, scoring Pugnetti. Vance then singled to the left side to score Orr from third and Shier from second to lead 6-2. A scoreless top of the seventh ended game three at 6-2. 

Kyle Vance led the Dragons offense, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, and teammate Nich Green went 1-for-3 with a triple to right field, scored one run, and was walked once.

Tyler Wehrle pitched five complete innings for the Dragons, allowed two hits, one unearned run and had six strikeouts. 

Game 4:

The Dragons were on fire in the first four innings, scoring 13 runs. In the first Tiffin scored five. With runners on first and third Campbell singled to left field to score Donnelly, then Green walked to load the bases. Stevens doubled to left field to score Vance from third and Campbell from second. Tommy Thamann grounded out but brought in Stevens from third to lead 5-0 after one inning.

With Shier on second Donnelly singled up the middle to score Shier. With the bases loaded Green singled up the middle to score Vance from third and Campbell from second. Then, Thamann singled to right field and the right fielder mishandled the ball to allow the runners to advance, scoring Green. Noah Penney grounded out to second base, advancing the runners and Stevens scored the fifth run of the inning to lead 10-0.

In the third, the pitcher walked three straight batters and Campbell lined out to second and a throwing error by the second baseman allowed Shier to score. The pitcher walked two more batters to score Donnelly from third and lead 12-0. 

In the fourth, Green was walked with the bases loaded to score Kole Klasic and lead 13-0.

The Scots got on the board in the fifth, scoring two runs. The Dragons answered with three runs in the bottom of the fifth, as Evan Engle was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to score Thamann, then Orr reached on a fielder's choice. Engle was out at second but scored Penney from third. Thomas Auth singled to left field with runners on the corners, scoring Klasic to lead 16-2.

The Fighting Scots scored one run in the top of the sixth to bring the score to 16-3. 

With a runner on second Auth singled up the middle to score Engle to score one more for the Dragons to make it 17-3.

The Fighting Scots scored two more in the top of the ninth but were unable to mount a comeback to give the Dragons the 17-5 win.

Thamann went 2-for-4 in the game, with three RBI, and scored one run, Nich Green went 1-for-1 with three RBI and scored two runs, and Griffin Stevens went 2-for-3 with two RBI and scored two runs.

Gunnar Boehm got the win, pitching five innings, allowing two runs and three hits, and striking out four.
