David Bookmyer (1971-74) was a standout men's basketball player for one of  Tiffin University's National Championship teams. Bookmyer helped lead Tiffin University to two Lake Erie Conference Championships over his three seasons while also leading the Dragons to two National Little College Tournament appearances. His career reached a high point in the 1972-73 season when he helped lead the Dragons to the National Little College Championship, the second national championship in Tiffin University's history. Bookmyer scored 1075 points in his career and was a two-time First Team All-Lake Erie Conference honoree. He currently works for the State Auditor's Office. He and his family reside in Columbus.
