Olivia Shore made Tiffin University women's wrestling history in Adrian, Michigan, winning the program's first-ever national championship.

Shore dominated the 101-pound championship match at the NCWWC Championships, beating Angelina Gomez of Emmanuel via tech fall 11-0 to complete her perfect run. She went 4-0 to secure the title, opening with a fall over Taylor Lindstrom (Chadron State College) in 0:12. In the quarterfinals, she won by tech fall over Katerina Pendergrass (Gannon University) 13-1. She then won by fall over Maddie Mackenzie (Simon Fraser University) in comeback fashion in 5:23 to advance to the title bout.

Shore, the nation's top-ranked 101-pound grappler heading into the tourney, finished her season with an amazing 27-1 record with 15 pins and 4 tech falls.

Overall the Dragons finished 7th of 15 teams, totaling 75.5 points. McKendree won the national title with 188 points over King's 166. Augsburg took 6th just ahead of TU with 82 points.

Two other Dragons also finished their All-American runs with top six finishes. 

Solana Mottola (130) finished 5th in her debut season. In the consolation semifinals, Mia Macaluso (East Stroudsburg University) won by fall in 1:10, but Mottola came back to win the 5th-place match with a gutsy come-from-behind attack 4-2 over Claire DiCugno (Colorado Mesa University).

Mottola finishes with a 30-10 mark with 17 pins and 239 points. She led the team in wins, pins, and points.

Taylor Hites (155) finished 6th at the tourney. In the consolation semifinals, Marlynne Deede (Augsburg University) posted a win by tech fall 12-2. In the 5th-place match, Tiera Jimerson (North Central College) posted an 8-0 decision.

Overall Hites finished 29-12 and tied for the team lead with 17 pins. She was also second on the team with 227 points.
