Dragons Keep Rolling with Fifth-Straight Victory

 

Tiffin University (16-12, 10-7 G-MAC) extended its win streak to five matches after defeating Ursuline in its final road match of the season, 3-1.

The Dragons fell behind early on but quickly regained their footing, holding the Arrows to just .056 percent hitting. Tied at 13, TU went on an 11-2 run which earned it set-point advantage before later earning the victory.

Tiffin dominated the second set with a .414 hitting percentage and a total of 14 kills.

The third set saw the Dragons trail by three at 18-15 but came back to tie the set at 18 all. Later tied at 24, Ursuline scored back-to-back to take its one and only set of the match.

TU bounced back in the fourth set after taking an early 4-0 lead. Steadily increasing its lead and closing out the victory.

Kenedi Goon led the Dragons with 15 kills, tying her season high. Wakaya Wilson and Kaylee Freund both recorded 10 kills each while Wilson added 10 digs as well to earn a double-double. Addison Conti also tallied a double-double with a team-high 24 assists and 12 digs.

Freshman Maggie Pavlansky posted 18 assists and added three digs. Defensively, Olivia Karhoff ended with 13 digs while Goon and Fruend both posted seven total blocks.

Tiffin returns home for its final two matches of the season with Hillsdale coming to town on Friday, November 10th followed by Northwood on Saturday, November 11th.
